YEREVAN. - The issue [on appointing] a new Minister of Justice was not discussed at the executive body session of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Parliament Vice President and RPA spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov told Armenian News – NEWS.am after the session. 

“There is an acting Minister of Justice and we will appoint a new minister in due period,” he said.

Referring to  the circulated names of possible candidates, Sharmazanov said the question about them should be addressed to the people who circulate those names.

According to the press, Arthur Osikyan, head of Criminal Executive Department of Armenia’s Justice Ministry, will be appointed a new Minister of Justice.

The ex-Minister of Justice Hovhannes Manukyan handed over his resignation on July 14.
