On the occasion of the Armenian Genocide Centennial, a commemoration event titled “Weaving Armenia’s Story through Music” will take place September 20 at North Andover High School, Massachusetts, The Armenian Mirror-Spectator reports.

The event is sponsored by the local Armenian Genocide Commemorative Committee.

Highlighting the program will be young violin virtuoso Haigaram Hovsepian, who will be accompanied on the piano by his mother, Ani. Famous popular and classical works will be played.

The main speaker will be Dr. Henry C. Theriault, professor and chairman of the Philosophy Department at Worcester State University.

Winners of a student essay contest will read their papers. Students in various schools were asked to write on the subject of what this Genocide Centennial means to them. They will receive monetary prizes at the event.
