YEREVAN. – Many Armenian migrant workers will have to stay in Armenia because of deteriorating economic situation in Russia, economist Ashot Yeghiazaryan told reporters on Saturday.

The reason, he added, is the reduction of their wages in Russia.

“Another proof that the decision to join Eurasian Economic Union was fundamentally wrong,” he said.

The Central Bank of Armenia expects that because of low exchange rate of ruble, remittances in dollars received from Russia will reduce by 25 percent as of 2015.
