American hip hop recording artist Kanye West announced his 2020 presidential bid at the MTV Video Music Awards, as he accepted the Video Vanguard Award, reported Variety.

“I don’t know what I’m going to lose after this,” stated West. “And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president.”

“Ya’ll might be thinking, I wonder, ‘Did he smoke something before he came out?’” added the world-renowned rapper, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia. “The answer is yes, I rolled up something.” 

But whether Kanye West was serious is debatable. Nonetheless, it is likely that he is “green-eyed” by the accolades of his wife, famous American Armenian TV personality Kim Kardashian, who has joined the election campaign of Hillary Clinton.
