STEPANAKERT. – On 1 September a solemn ceremony of awarding in connection with the 24th anniversary of the NKR’s proclamation took place at the presidential residence of the Nagorno-Karabakh President.

In his speech President Sahakyan noted that the Day of the Artsakh Republic was among the exclusive holidays which “was carved by the entire Armenian nation and it was already 24 years that the Artsakh people hand in hand with their sisters and brothers from Armenia and the Diaspora had been building a free and sovereign democratic state, which sustainably marched ahead, year by year registering new success and achievements and occupying its place in the international community.”

“The Artsakh people are masters of their Motherland and do their best to reach their goal, realize the unfinished goals of their brave sons,” Sahakyan said.

Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirossyan, NKR National Assembly Chairman Ashot Ghoulyan and other officials participated in the event.
