An exhibition “GRANDCHILDREN, New geographies of belonging” will open up in Istanbul’s Depo gallery on September 3 and last till November 1. It is dedicated to the Armenian deportation, Hurriyet Daily News reports.

The exhibition takes a closer look at personal and communal affiliations in the Armenian Diaspora, who, according to Armenians themselves, were “scattered like pomegranate seeds across the world.”

Works of Armenian artists from all over the world will be displayed at the exhibition, which is coordinated by Silvina Der-Meguerditchian and organized in cooperation with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Federal Foreign Office Germany, the Goethe Institut in Istanbul, Anadolu Kültür, the Cultural Academy Tarabya, and Heinrich Böll Stiftung.
