YEREVAN. – The situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border is relatively calm, at present.
Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the press secretary of the Minister of Defense of Armenia, told the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“The shooting [by Azerbaijan] usually begins in the evening,” he said. “[But] I can’t say what this is due to.”
Hovhannisyan added, however, that the Armenian Armed Forces watch over the situation on the border.
The situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border is tense since Tuesday. Azerbaijan fires shots at the Armenian border villages, on a regular basis. As a result, an Armenian military serviceman and three civilians were wounded on Thursday evening.
