YEREVAN. – At the invitation of the French ambassador, First President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan—who is also Founding Chairman of the opposition Armenian National Congress Party—on Friday visited the French embassy and met with Ambassador Jean-François Charpentier.

At the ambassador's request, Ter-Petrosyan reflected on the tension of recent days on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, and the Karabakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact.

He also expressed his views on Armenia’s domestic politics, proposed constitutional amendments and socioeconomic condition, and emigration from the country.
