EU foreign ministers discussed relations with eastern partners during an informal meeting in Luxembourg, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said summing up results of the meeting.

The EU ministers discussed relations with Ukraine developments in Belarus, developments in Georgia, Moldova, also with the attention to developments in Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“After the Riga summit we need to strengthen our work and relations with our partners in the east,” she said.

The EU official noted that amid major issue to face to the southern and southern-eastern borders as the refugee crisis and many conflicts, the EU “should not make us forget that our eastern partners need support and partnership, and we continue to work very closely with them on daily basis”.
