YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily has learned that in the last two months, regular reports are received from the hospitals in capital city Yerevan and the provinces of Armenia that those coming to them with intestinal illnesses is much more than usual, reported the daily.

“Official statistics also confirms the sharp growth factor in the cases of intestinal diseases. Accordingly, with the data of August of this year, 1,741 cases of acute intestinal diseases were recorded in Armenia, whereas this number was 1,179 in the same period last year.

“That is, intestinal diseases have risen by 47.6 percent [in the country],” wrote Zhoghovurd.
