Criminal case against Afghanistan citizen Abdulsalama Mehmedrehimi, 31, who illegally crossed the Armenian-Turkish border, has been filed with the Court of General Jurisdiction of Armenia’s Ararat and Vayots Dzor provinces.

Mehmedrehimi illegally crossed the border from Turkey to Armenia near Armash village at about 2:20 p.m. on August 4, and was detained by the border guards, Armenia’s Judiciary portal reports.

The trespasser has been charged under Article 329 (1) of the Armenian Criminal Code. Arrest has been chosen as a preventive measure.
