I can actually foresee who Armenia’s future leader can be, Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan said Thursday at the discussion organized by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, responding to the question on whether it is possible to foresee who Armenia’s future leader will be. The script of the Q&A has been provided by the Carnegie Endowment upon the request of Panorama.am.

“I can actually foresee who the future leader of Armenia can be, but I’m afraid that if I announce this, that man will suffer hellish days before becoming a leader. Secondly, I’m afraid that man will not consider my foreseeing correct now. But I know who [that leader] can be, and I’m deeply convinced that it’s the responsibility of any high-ranking official to see who is going to substitute him. But it’s not necessary to announce about this,” Sargsyan said.

Before the Q&A, President Sargsyan also delivered a speech.
