YEREVAN. – Everyone’s businesses have gotten worse as compared to last year, but this is temporary, and there is no need to panic.

Member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly Faction, businessman Garegin Nushikyan, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Unfortunately, the situation of the [other] EEU [i.e. Eurasian Economic Union] member countries [which also comprise Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and most recently, Kyrgyzstan] is not good, either,” said Nushikyan. “And this, especially the economic situation of Russia, has a direct impact on the economy of our country.

“We [i.e. Armenia] are very much tied to the Russian economy, which is not in good condition at the moment; the EEU accession has no connection. We must work together and get out of this situation.”
