YEREVAN. – Further escalation of tension on the border is unacceptable, Armenian Deputy Defense Minister and OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair from France Pierre Andrieu agreed.
The Armenian official and French Co-Chair discussed situation on Armenia-Azerbaijan border and the line of contact during the meeting on Friday.
Deputy Minister briefed the diplomat on the recent tension and consequences of ceasefire violation.
The sides agreed further tension is unacceptable and noted importance of displaying constructive approach in talks. They also touched upon confidence building measures and different options to preserve ceasefire.
