YEREVAN. – A week of Jordan’s culture will start in Armenia on October 10, Culture Minister of Jordan Lana Mamkegh told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Minister recalled that Armenia and Jordan have signed an agreement to develop cultural relations.

“We visited Armenia two months ago and had a meeting with the culture minister to discuss the idea of holding a week of culture in Armenia. We are very much interested in intensification of relations, as there are many Armenians in Jordan. We are very impressed by your country, your beautiful nature and people,” she said.

The government of Jordan wants to develop strong relations with Armenia, she assured.

The week of culture will feature exhibitions of paintings, traditional costumes and national dances.

“We expect that Armenians will come to Jordan where we will hold a week of Armenian culture,” the Minister added. “I think I will visit Armenia every two months,” she joked.
