YEREVAN. – Russia’s restrictions on imports of agricultural products from Turkey create new opportunities for Armenian producers.

The Minister of Agriculture of Armenia, Sergo Karapetyan, noted the above-said at Friday’s talk with several meat producers of the country.

The Ministry of Agriculture informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that Karapetyan added that Armenia’s accession into the Eurasian Economic Union has substantially facilitated the exports of its domestic products.

Several meat producers, in turn, said their exports are growing, Armenia’s meat products are good quality, and they can be in great demand in the Russian market.

Some other matters related to the development of this business also were discussed at the meeting.
