The Azerbaijani side is ready to make efforts aimed at reducing and removing the tension in the Turkish-Russian relations. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated the aforementioned at the meeting with the Turkish FM Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Azerbaijani media outlets report, citing the President’s official website.
“Azerbaijan feels sorry and is concerned over the tension which has emerged in the relations between Turkey and Russia,” Ilham Aliyev said.
This way Ilham Aliyev actually came up with an initiative of reconciliation between Moscow and Ankara.
