The plane which transported the body of Oleg Peshkov, the killed Su-24 pilot, landed in military airfield outside Moscow today. The plane was met by Russia’s Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu and Commander of the Russian Aerospace Defense Forces Victor Bondarev. Military honors were bestowed upon the killed pilot.
During the flight in Russia’s airspace, the plane was escorted by fighter jets, RIA Novosti reports.
On November 24, Turkey’s Armed Forces downed Russian Su-24 fighter jet, which was carrying out anti-terrorist operation in Syria.
