After Cologne attacks, young politicians of four large Dutch parties have decided to   intervene on behalf of the European women. With this aim, they have planned a campaign with a special dress-code at the central Dam square in Amsterdam. Specifically, mini-skirts will be mandatory for both women and men.

The organizers thereby aim to not only express their solidarity with women, but also manifest their dissatisfaction with the statement of the Mayor of Cologne Henriette Reker. After hundreds of women were robbed and harassed by young men mainly of Arabic appearance in Cologne, the Mayor proposed women to keep an arm’s length distance from foreigners. This advice hit a raw nerve with the youth.

“Not women, but men must keep an arm’s length distance. The blame over sexual harassment is too often laid on women themselves. But this isn’t a solution to the problem. Mini-skirts are not to be blamed for,” young male politicians wrote on their Facebook pages, urging all those who want to participate in the campaign to join it, TASS reports.
