YEREVAN. - Borders of Armenia are inviolable. Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan stated the aforementioned at a press-conference today, responding to a question on the publications in the Azerbaijani media outlets regarding the establishment on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border of a certain military base, which reportedly gives superiority to the Azerbaijani side.

“The Armed Forces of Armenia are reliably defending the borders. No changes have taken place in the contours of the military positions. The advancement of the adversary hasn’t been recorded either. Accommodation in one’s own rear area doesn’t mean advancement,” Ohanyan said.

For his part, Commander of the Third Army Corps, Onik Gasparyan, noted that the mounting on which the observing station was accommodated, has never been under the control of the Armenian side.  “Hasn’t been means will not be,” Gasparyan said, adding that the fortification on that mountain of the observing station is no achievement.
