YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia on Tuesday issued its 2015 Annual Report.

“Azerbaijan’s flagrant violations of the ceasefire regime on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and the Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)]-Azerbaijan Line of Contact (…) gained new momentum in the reporting year, [and] which resulted in numerous casualties, including among the civilian population.

“The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs stressed the need for the creation of a mechanism to investigate the violations of the ceasefire regime, stressing that Armenia has agreed to this proposal and urging Azerbaijan to do the same.

“The three co-chairing countries [i.e. US, Russia, and France] have condemned the continued violations of the ceasefire, [and] the use of heavy artillery.

“Disregarding the co-chairs’ targeted statements and calls, Baku took to new provocations during the year, increasing the tension at the Line of Contact and the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, [and] continued the attempts to transfer the conflict settlement discussions to other platforms.

“Armenia reaffirmed, on numerous occasions, its determination to continue the joint efforts, with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, toward an exclusively peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict,” the report specifically reads.
