YEREVAN. – Once the sanctions on Iran are lifted, the use and transfer of Internet traffic may increase in this country.

Hayk Faramazyan, General Manager of Armenia’s GNC Alfa telecommunications company, told the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As per Faramazyan, the company’s network has three boundary points with Georgia and another one with Iran, and Internet data are transferred by way of these points.

Although the sanctions on Iran did not apply to Internet traffic, they were hampering the respective payments.

“But now, we want to increase the number of orders, especially since we don’t have a bandwidth problem,” Hayk Faramazyan added. “We hope there will be results in the near future.”
