After their talk in Cuba, Pope Francis and Kirill I, Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia of the Russian Orthodox Church, signed a joint declaration, according to Gazeta.ru news site of Russia.

Patriarch Kirill said the Roman Catholic and the Russian Orthodox Churches can work together for the benefit of Christians around the world. He noted that the two churches can work together also so that there would be no more wars, and that human life is respected everywhere.

Pope Francis, for his part, stated that he had felt the presence of the Holy Spirit during their talk, and that they had discussed several initiatives which can be brought to fruition.
