A charity fair in favor of Armenia’s Ashotsk town will be held in Padua city of Italy.

The fair, during which books and souvenirs will be presented, will be held in the Casa di Cristallo literature association, which is managed by the writer of Armenian descent Antonia Arslan. The latter is famous for her book “The Lark Farm.”

The event will be held by Italarmenia friendship association, Discover Armenia Italian website reports.  

The funds raised during the fair, which is to be held on March 20, will be directed to the hospital in Armenia’s northern Ashotsk town. 

The Ashotsk hospital was built in 1991 by the Italian branch of the international Caritas benevolent organization. The hospital was announced as a gift of Pope John Paul II to the Armenian people. Later several polyclinics and schools were built in the nearby villages. The hospital and the polyclinics are run by the Catholic Order of St. Camillus.
