The youth of my country are actively involved in the discussions on the latest achievements in high-tech and scientific projects, and they contribute to their further improvement.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is on a working visit to the US, on Tuesday noted the abovementioned during his address at a reception and meeting—at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology—with the fellows and alumni of the Luys fund scholarships.

Sargsyan said around 2,000 information technology (IT) and high-tech industry professionals are prepared every year in the institutions of higher education in Armenia. 

“It’s thanks to the human potential that today small Armenia has a place on the world IT map,” the President stated, in particular. “Armenia has several competitive edges in this domain. We realize very well that the guarantee of the longevity of the current successes is the ensuring of a solid educational foundation.”  

Also, Serzh Sargsyan pointed to Armenian schoolchildren’s achievements in international olympiads.
