A protest, in connection with the 101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, was staged Sunday in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The demonstrators assembled at St. Sargis Armenian church, called on Turkey to recognize this tragedy, and condemned Azerbaijan’s recent increased violence against Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).

“We want them to recognize the Genocide,” said a protester. “Turkey must pay repatriation for the 1.5 million Armenians killed [during this calamity].”
