YEREVAN. – Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Thursday received Indonesian Ambassador to Armenia Niniek Kun Naryatie, whose diplomatic residence is in the Ukrainian capital city of Kiev.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that Nalbandian lauded Naryatie’s activities as Indonesia’s ambassador to Armenia. He stated that, during her tenure, the first high-level visit to Armenia was made from Indonesia, the latter lifted its visa requirements for Armenian citizens, and Culture Days of Indonesia were held in Armenia.

Ambassador Naryatie, for her part, noted that Indonesia underscores the strengthening and expanding of cooperation with Armenia, and stressed that during her mission she endeavored to make maximum respective efforts.

Subsequently, the interlocutors exchanged views on the matters that are on the bilateral agenda, and highlighted the need to strengthen the legal framework between the two countries.

Separately, Edward Nalbandian awarded Niniek Kun Naryatie with the Armenian MFA Medal of Honor, in recognition of her contribution to the development of Armenian-Indonesian relations.
