YEREVAN. – We are obligated to impose peace by keeping our borders strong.
Mkrtich Minasyan, member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly (RPA NA) Faction, noted the above-said at Friday’s NA briefings.
“There should be a healthy climate in the country,” he said. “We need to preserve the climate of supporting the army.”
In Minasyan’s words, however, the war could break out again.
“[Peace] negotiations are possible; they certainly will occur sooner or later,” the RPA MP added. “[But] there is a risk of war; we need to be ready.”
Mkrtich Minasyan noted that, in his view, Armenia-Russia relations will expand, and cooperation will become more productive.
“Russia and the other major countries have their interests, and we, as a country, likewise have our interest,” he stated. “We need to have a dignified posture.”
