YEREVAN. – There is no political will in Armenia to fight against corruption in the country, Varuzhan Hoktanyan, Executive Director of the Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center in Armenia, told reporters at a discussion.

In his words, Armenia is not moving forward in the Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index, ever since 2003.

Dear families of those serving their compulsory military service,
ACBA- CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK lowered rates of the loans that have been issued or will be issued in the future. Thank you, Armenian serviceman...
Everything will be fine!

Hoktanyan stressed that even though the country has the highest respective ranking within the Eurasian Economic Union—which comprises Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan—, this is little comforting.

And as per MP Mikayel Melkumyan of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party, not only the existence of monopolies in Armenia, but the society’s tolerance towards them is worrisome.
