Political allies of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani won the second round of parliamentary elections.

It was reported earlier that Rouhani’s supports could get from 33 to 40 seats out of 68, with conservatives gaining 21 more MPs. In total, parliament of the country has 290 seats.

According to the Internal Ministry, 38 of 68 seats went to the pro-Rouhani List of Hope coalition, 18 - to conservatives and 12 - to independent candidates.

According to the results of the February round of elections, candidates, close to conservatives received 103 of 290 seats in the parliament. President Hassan Rouhani’s reformist and moderate Iranian allies, involved in the so-called List of Hope, won 95 seats. At the same time moderate reformers gained 29 of 30 seats in the parliament supposed for the capital of the country of Tehran, but gave way to fundamentalists in other parts of the country, RIA Novosti reported
