May 1 demonstrations in the US had a political nature: hundreds of people went to the streets of Los Angeles protesting against pre-election rhetoric of the Republican candidate Donald Trump and demanding to respect the rights of immigrants and workers, reported RIA Novosti .

The main action of May 1 took place in California, where people who oppose Trump’s position held protests and demonstrations before his arrival for his  campaign.  According to Reuters , several hundred people attended the march in the center of Los Angeles on Sunday. The demonstrators , many of whom were Latinos , and immigrants from Mexico, carried posters reading " Dump Trump " ( pun Dump Trump) and calling for immigration reform and denial of deportations.

The main tool of peaceful protesters was a huge inflatable effigy of Trump clutching a white hood in his hand– an accessory of the suit of Ku Klux Klan, an ultra-right organization. According to the city police , the demonstration was peaceful , and no one was arrested.
