The scandal over setting personal email for official correspondence prevents the former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to hold an effective campaign, writes Gazeta with a reference to the Financial Times. For several months the FBI has been trying to determine whether Clinton used her private email in New York to send emails with classified information. As Douglas Cox, a professor at New York University, explained to the Financial Times, in order to bring a criminal accusation, it is necessary to prove that Clinton knew about the secret documents at the time she was sending them.

Besides Clinton, a number of other officials undergo a check, including Jake Sullivan, a State Department employee, Huma Abedin Clinton’s assistant, and Cheryl Mills , the head of Clinton’s administration at the time she working at the State Department. A friend of Clinton [name is unknown] informed to the Financial Times, if anyone of her assistants gets an accusation, s/he will resign immediately , to reduce harms that can be caused to the campaign.
