YEREVAN. – The newly appointed Ambassador of Tajikistan, Imomuddin Sattorov—whose diplomatic residence is in Moscow—, on Tuesday presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan of Armenia.

The Presidential Press Office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the President congratulated the ambassador on his appointment, and wished him success. Sargsyan expressed a hope that during his diplomatic mission in Armenia, Ambassador Sattorov will invest all his skills and experience to contribute to making Armenia-Tajikistan relations grow deeper and developing cooperation. 

The interlocutors reflected on the avenues for intensifying collaboration also within international organizations. In this connection, the President underscored the development of relations between Armenia and Tajikistan, as member countries in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). 

In addition, they discussed the potential and opportunities for the development of bilateral state relations.

The Tajikistan ambassador, for his part, assured that he will do his utmost to strengthen and deepen Armenian-Tajik ties, and highlighted the need to expand the respective legal framework.
