YEREVAN. - The situation at the frontline is tense today, and any action can start any time, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan told journalists Wednesday.

“We are making corresponding analyses in the framework of the tasks set before the army. We are also making conclusions on the nature of the adversary’s possible actions and other tasks. The Armenian Army, on behalf of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army, is carrying out the tasks set before it at high level, being ready to carry out defensive and other tasks,” he said, adding that temporary ceasefire is yet observed.

Ohanyan also noted that he hasn’t heard about the bill on “Recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh” to be discussed in the parliament Thursday. “I always recognize my homeland,” he added.

Asked when the equipment from Russia will arrive in Armenia according to the interstate agreement, the Minister responded: “Work is underway on accelerating the military and technical cooperation”.
