STEPANAKERT. - The budget of Nagorno-Karabakh is $190 mln, excluding the army and numerous charity programs, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) PM Arayik Harutyunyan told journalists Thursday. According to him, the Karabakh army includes its entire population and also dozens and thousands of volunteers from Armenia.

“I stress that they are not mercenaries but volunteers, who came from Yerevan in an expensive car, left the car at a square in Stepanakert and headed for the frontline. We also have this kind of cases. We have volunteers at the frontline who are up to 85 years old. When we ban their participation, they get offended. If we don’t allow them, they try to skirt the ban. That’s why Artsakh is invincible,” Harutyunyan said.

“We stand for peace, but we are ready to die for the sake of our homeland,” the PM concluded.
