YEREVAN. – A brother and sister were killed Friday morning in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned that the murderer is the ex-boyfriend of Shoghik Armenakyan, 29, who is one of the victims. Her ex-boyfriend was previously convicted of causing bodily injury.

The Police informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that a Yerevan police station had received a call, on Friday at 9am, that there was an argument in a house in the city.

The law enforcement officers, who were dispatched to the scene, discovered the dead body of Armenakyan, a resident of the house, with stab wounds.

It was found out that her father, Hamlet Armenakyan, and brother, Shavarsh Armenakyan, 26, who likewise had suffered stab wounds, were rushed to hospital, where, however, Shavarsh Armenakyan died without regaining consciousness.

A blood-stained kitchen knife was found in the house yard. 

Search is underway for the murder suspect.

And press service of the Investigative Committee informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that a criminal case is launched into this murder.
