YEREVAN. – The National Education Program of Armenia is fully aimed at improving the quality of education in the country.

Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am, and he added that this program already has been sent to the Government.

In Mkrtchyan’s words, the National Education Program was developed by considering the ten-year Education Development Program, and it contains a discretionary part, a definition of the mission of education.

As per the minister, the National Education Program has a section on the vision for education in Armenia for the next ten years, and several important sections are outlined.

“All this will enable (…) a smooth transformation of the education system [in Armenia] and a transition to a situation when quality will be the priority,” Mkrtchyan said. “We hope all the programs outlined in the education system in 2017 will be reflected on.”
