YEREVAN. – A fatal stabbing took place late in the evening on Sunday, in Yeghegnadzor town of Vayots Dzor Province in Armenia. 

The incident was preceded by an argument, and one of the participants stabbed two young men and the father of one of them.

One of the stabbed youth, Samvel Hovakimyan, 25, died, whereas his father and the other young man were hospitalized. The young man is in critical condition.

Armenian News-NEWS.am learned from the Police Press Service that Hovakimyan had died in hospital, and without regaining consciousness.

The reason for the argument is not yet known.

The circumstances behind this incident are being ascertained.

An investigation is underway.
