The political rating of the block of the Christian Democratic Union and Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) which is headed by the German chancellor Angela Merkel has fallen to 33% that is 8,5% less than during the last elections to the Bundestag in 2013, shows a poll conducted by Forsa Institute.

Compared with last week, popularity of the CDU / CSU fell by 1%, TASS reported.

The second is Social Democratic Party of Germany - 20%, the third are the Greens with 14%. Right-wing populists of the "Alternative for Germany" have the support of 12% of the voters, the Left Party - 9%.

At the same time 44% of Germans want to see Merkel as the head of the government. It is 2% less, than one week earlier. However, her popularity is still significantly higher than the popularity of Social Democrat Sigmar Gabriel – he has support of 15% of citizens.

The German chancellor is criticized for the fact that she, allegedly, doesn't want to toughen tone in relation to the president of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

More than 2000 people participated in the poll.
