The PACE resolution on Sarsang Reservoir could have no legal consequences, Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian stated Thursday at the discussion regarding the report on the republic’s State Budget Performance for 2015, responding to the question of opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan.

In Nalbandian’s words, this resolution couldn’t have legal consequences, since it is known which format it was adopted in. “As a deputy, you know that the documents adopted by the Parliamentary Asssembly have no significance for the negotiating sides; this resolution has never been raised at the talks – neither by the [OSCE Minsk Group] Co-Chairs nor anyone else. Moreover, several days before adopting this notorious resolution [in January 2016], the Co-Chairs stated that this only hinders the negotiation process and there is no need to engage in such senseless activities,” the FM said.
