YEREVAN. - Expenses for education grew by 5.6 percent in Armenia, constituting 122.3 bln AMD ($255 mln). Armenian Education Minister Levon Mkrtchyan said during the discussion of the Report on 2015 State Budget Performance.  

Thus, 596,8 mln was directed to pre-school education (24 percent more than in 2014).   

The expenses for school education constituted nearly 72.6 bln AMD or 4.4 percent more than in 2014.

The expenses for professional and vocational education made up 8.9 bln AMD, nearly 2.2 and 5.8 bln respectively, or by 30 and 16 percent more than in 2014.

The expenses for higher education constituted 11.1 bln AMD, including 918 mln AMD for postgraduate education. As compared to 2014, the university expenses grew by 17 percent.

7.4 bln of the mentioned expenses were included in student scholarships (about 14 percent more).
