The Japanese government urged the owners of sex hotels or so-called "love hotels" to turn their facilities into usual hotels at the time of the 2020 Olympic Games in the capital, South China Morning Post reported quoting  Tokyo mass media.

The leadership of Japan had to ask for the help of owners of sex hotels as they are afraid that the country will not be able to provide millions of "Olympic" tourists with traditional means of accommodation, the edition specifies. At the moment, there are over 10 thousand "love hotels" in the country.

 Love hotel or rabu hoteru is a full-fledged element of the Japanese culture. This place intended to persons interested to cover couples from public eyes. Rooms in such hotels are usually rented for one or two hours, and sometimes for the whole night, Lenta reported.
