Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo has announced about the plans to open a camp for refugees in the French capital. According to her, the camp will be set up with the help of humanitarian organizations.

It will not only provide a shelter, but also serve as a day centre to "those who have nothing."

At present the Municipality is examining different places for the possible placement of the camp to determine where it will be possible to open it as soon as possible, TASS reports, citing Hidalgo.

The Mayor noted that the refugee camp will be constructed on the model of another camp meeting international UN standards in country’s northern Grande-Synthe commune, RIA Novosti reports.
