YEREVAN. - The first session of the State Military Industrial Committee took place in the Armenian Government Friday. The meeting was presided by Armenian PM Hovik Abrahamyan.
In his speech, PM Abrahamyan noted that the no-war-no-peace situation requires new approaches to the development of the military and industrial complex. “Among our priority tasks we have always singled out the protection of our borders and reliable ensurance of security,” the PM stressed.
At the session, the candidacy of David Pakhchanyan as the Deputy Defense Minister and Head of State Military Industrial Committee was confirmed. The candidacies of the subcommittee members were also confirmed.
