YEREVAN. – Final event of the “Jump Armenia 2016” environmental campaign was held Saturday, during which around sixty participants jumped into Lake Sevan.

The objective of this initiative was to raise awareness of water basin issues. 

During the campaign, seminars, discussions, and laboratory experiments  were organized with respect to the social and ecological problems and pollution level of the water resources of Lake Sevan and the rest of Armenia, informed the “Young Biologists Association” NGO.

“Jump Armenia 2016”  is aimed  to raise public awareness of freshwater ecology and lake and river protection. 

The campaign in Armenia is implemented with support of The Rufford Foundation.
