YEREVAN. – Armenia’s new Ambassador to Mexico, Ara Ayvazian, on Monday presented his credentials to President Enrique Peña Nieto.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that, first, President Nieto congratulated the ambassador on his appointment, and wished him success during his mission in Mexico. He also expressed the hope that the bilateral relations between the two countries will from now on take on new content and dynamics.

Earlier in the day, the Armenian ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to Carlos Alberto de Icaza González, Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico. At the ensuing talk, they reflected on the current state of affairs and the prospects for development of cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Ayvazian also held a briefing with representatives of the leading Mexican media. He conveyed the best wishes by the Armenian people and government to the people of friendly Mexico, and outlined the framework of cooperation between the two countries.
