Russia holds negotiations with Georgia and South Ossetia to open the road for the Armenian trucks routing to Russia, said Gagik Beglaryan, the Minister of Transport and Communication, after the governmental session.
“It is Russia that carries out negotiations, and it doesn’t depend much on Armenia,” admitted Beglaryan, adding that the South Ossetian road is rather good.
Note that the Ossetian military road through internal Zaramagh checkpoint was closed after the armed conflict of 2008. The recent disaster recently damaged a part of the military road passing through Upper Lars checkpoint , due to which Armenian was deprived of the land route with Russia.
