YEREVAN. - Armenian PM Hovik Abrahamyan on Thursday attended the event dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the French University of Armenia.

Congratulating the faculty, students and alumni, the PM noted that with the introduction of European standards of higher education, the French University gave a new breath and quality to the Armenian-French cooperation.

In Abrahamyan’s words, thanks to the cooperation between the Armenian and French Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education and Science, the university has turned into a unique beacon.

“The combination of the experience accumulated during many years between the Armenian and French education systems is an important characteristic of the high-ranking French University. During its 15 years of activity, the University has issued diplomas to 1500 graduates in the areas of management, marketing, finance and law,” Abrahamyan said, noting that currently many of the French University Alumni are actively involved in the work of statehood and economy strengthening and civil society formation.

The PM also added that these indexes are the result of the devoted work of the university’s pedagogic and administrative staff, the continuous support of the Armenian and French authorities and Jeans Moulin Lyon 3 University, as well as mutually beneficial cooperation with the university partners.

Abrahamyan wished success and new achievements to the University’s staff and students in their future activity.
