YEREVAN. – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s apology to Russia took place after the cataclysms to which Turkey’s domestic and foreign policy was subjected.

Analyst and former Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Ambassador Arman Navasardyan, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Friday.

“Erdoğan would not only have apologized, but also gone to Moscow crawling, to remedy the situation,” he added.

Navasardyan, however, expressed a view that the development of Russian-Turkish relations cannot have any impact on Armenia.

“On the contrary, I believe that at least the matters of safety, security along the border will further increase because, despite everything, if Russia and Turkey need to tackle security issues, [and] fight against terrorism, the border should be more secure,” added Arman Navasardyan.
