Malefactors stole 40 million iCloud accounts of Apple service by theft of databases of the third-party services, CSO Online reported.

Users have already started  complaining that their device on iOS was blocked. Blocking was carried out through the Find IPhone service. Together with blocking, the “victims” of the attack received a message in Russian with a requirement to pay $50 for unblocking.

Security experts say that for receiving access to accounts they could use the data which hackers could receive as a result of attacks to other services. It is possible to get access only when the password of iCloud coincides with the password of other service.
